Merged with: Introduction Email - Subject Line
Mat Tse
A request to be able to change the subject line for the intro email when a Mentor accepts a request and to include a signature without having to copying & paste.

Merged with: Accept Email - HTML Editing Capabilities
Mat Tse
Request for HTML editing capabilities for the Introduction Email when accepting a client's request. This would reduce any additional emails that are sent to the client.
Chapter #0001

Merged with: Accept Request Message Box Customization
Ernie Hansen
Discussion: Currently, the "Accept request" message box lacks customization options. The subject line is fixed as "Message from your SCORE Mentor," and the message body lacks HTML formatting capabilities. This limits our ability to tailor messages to individual mentees, highlight key information, and utilize formatting tools for clarity and emphasis.
Recommendation: To enhance communication and provide a more personalized mentoring experience, it is recommended to:
1. Subject Line Customization: Allow mentors to edit the subject line when sending messages to mentees. This enables mentors to create more relevant and attention-grabbing subject lines, enhancing the visibility of their messages.
2. HTML Formatting in Message Body: Implement HTML formatting options within the message body. This will empower mentors to use formatting tools like bold text, embedded links, bullet points, highlighting, and other formatting features. These tools are invaluable for conveying information effectively and making messages more engaging and informative.
By implementing these changes, we can improve the initial message that goes out to the mentee (client) when we accept the request.

A problem exists where when sending notes to client directly from Engage, an auto signature is generated. There is no place to modify or customize this signature and it defaults to only the Mentor's name. To aggravate the situation, as a sender you don't see the signature until after it is sent to client. If you cut and paste your own signature, your client will receive a duplicate signature, which looks ridiculous.
Kevin Dorsey
I agree it would be helpful. Not essential, but helpful.
Bob Goodyear
I copy and paste existing letters that are stored as drafts in my SVO email account
Nancy Chouinard
If it can be a template that can be edited. It's quick and easy fix to implement. It would fall into the new standardization initiative and improve productivity for many.
Terry Zysk
I agree with others, this is interesting but a low priority item. There are more important things to spend time and energy on.
David Lurie
not the most important issue on the plate, but useful
Mike Messmer
Subject line change and signature block are good ideas, but a low to medium priority.. A higher priority (which is a mentor time savings) would be to have template text in Engage for the intro email.
Lisa Zeanah
Yes! We really needs this capability!
Mike Lyons
I usually respond to the new mentee with an email from my SVO Gmail account instead of using Engage. This is because I have a template that I use to help speed up the response and set the first mentoring appointment. This also has my signature block which is automatic with Gmail.
Due to the above, I don't think this is necessary for me.
Kenneth Kerata
not necessary
Scott Dillenback
not critical
Kerry DeMuth
Yes Please!
Edita Cruz
Yes. More important for me is for the follow up email for assignments not accepted to go to the assigned mentor rather than the CIC. It creates double work since the CICs have to send a reminder email to the mentor to accept the assignment.
Jim Oshea
YES
Debbie Fernandez
Agree with Mat Tse and allow the ability to add an email address to cc:
Steven Lome
Don't even understand the question. Can you rephrase?
John Harris
Yes, please.
Doron Holzer
This ranks as a "nice-to-have" but isn't critical.
John Fisher
Obviously this should be included, but is a low priority
Steven Martin
yes
Matt McKenna
Low priority
Dillon Franks
I like the idea. It enables us to make the communication more personal and thus encourages a positive relationship.
Jim Axelrad
Yes, so helpful to add a signature line.
Shelah Schenkel
❤️ I love that idea. I would like to see pre typed options to choose from as well. A signature line is a great start! 💖
Gary Robinson
Definitely needed!!
Mercedes Diaz
Yes, this would save time by the mentors when communicating with clients.
Sharon Rose
Yes, our signature blocks should be carried over to the intro email.
Kate McKone-Sweet
Yes
Donald Jennings
Yes, This is essential.
Roy Hill
yes- How is the best way to ask for a program change?
Anna Crane
This would save time for all mentors. To go a step further, mentors may have some standard text they'd like to insert.
Per Fernqvist
Good idea.

Would like to see signature added when generating an email within Engage (e.g., initial contact emails)
Robert Shaver
Fine
Bob Janesak
My SVO signature block should be carried over into the Engage emails.
Jennifer Lang
Definitely yes, and why is it that Engage uses our SVO but not our "real" SVO? Should have been done when the process was started but . . . .thanks for thinking of it now (or lobbying tirelessly).
Marshall Mehring
good idea
Steve Feinman
yes. Hopefully it will help keeping the email out of the client’s spam folder
Steve Feinman
yes

I'm in favor
Bill Griggs
I like it!
Bill Morland
Good idea.
Susan Lundy
Of the three Mark sent this morning, really the most important to me since then my signature could include my calendar link, our workshops link, and other important information in my SCORE signature but not in the automated one.
Ron Barkley
Not a high priority
Kristin Ragona
Yes please!! Both would allow the initial email to be more professional. It should be an option available. Half the time I have already corresponded with a client beforehand, so being able change the subject line would be very helpful. Signature line saves an extra unneeded step. Thanks!!
Charlie Morris
The signature matters more to me than the subject line.
Gordon Magee
Definitely
David Rothfeld
Yes and need the ability to disable the system email after accepting a client…i use Calendly and send all of my communication automatically through Calendly….and this is an extra unwanted step
George Gremse
Signature line would be professional
Bob Ragland
Meh….
Philosophically, I worry that we are trying too hard to make Engage do things it's not good at. So I put all my communications inside my SVO. Much more robust already. My workaround is a short intro message from Engage that says I'm Bob and I'll be sending you an Email shortly.
Then in SVO I reply-to-all with my real message which is a template.
Donald Jennings
That's a great work-around, though.
Kevin Ventrudo
This would be helpful. I like Dennis’s template idea below
Dennis Mitchell
Anything we can do to reduce the amount of this kind of busy work will help. I would also like to suggest we have standard response templates that we can simply insert when contacting clients. I have some I have created and they save time.
Richard Brooks
This is not as critical as the other two, but would definitely be a help. Right now I open a blank email with my signature in place, copy it, then paste it into the Engage generated email. It would simplify a process.
Jim Helfgott
This is again done today with a manual workaround and should be automated to improve the professional look at emails and encourage mentors to use the email tool in Engage..
Manuel Diaz
Support this idea.
Mark Williams
Yes
Nancy Strojny
makes sense
Mark Krosse
Sig line will help improve conversion rate: client sees profile, mentor phone number, and self-scheduling link on the Acceptance communication
