What changed?
▪ Resolved a bug in the event creation process that caused the “Event Contact Name” and “Event Contact Email” fields to be overwritten with the event manager’s name and email upon saving the event.
▪ Ensured the “Event Contact Phone” field remains unchanged as expected.
▪ Updated functionality to save the user-entered details for “Event Contact Name” and Event Contact Email” without overwriting them.
Why is this change being implemented?
▪ To address a usability issue that required event managers to manually edit events a second time to correct the contact information.

There has been a change in the workshop event creation form and how it's processed. In the past the Event Contact details were not replaced by the Event Manager details when saving the event. Current behavior is that even when the details are provided, the Event Manager details are replaced for Name and Email (but not phone number).
This new behavior requires editing the event a 2nd time to update those two fields. I understand that the fields are now mandatory and the logic is probably populating the field with the default values to avoid the error. However, the desired behavior should be such that if the fields are pre-populated and not empty, the details should remain but if the fields are empty THEN the Event Manager details will be populated.
Current behavior is frustrating and creates unnecessary editing.
